Dad was born in 1925 to Julius Tetefsky (Kirtaregrad,Ukraine) and Dora Yekeltshik (Vilna, Lithuania) (both who emigrated to Canada (circa 1920) with their respective families) and to whom he was a loving and dedicated son. He volunteered in 1944 at the age of 18 and served overseas in the Canadian army medical corps from 1944 to 1946. He had been active in the Canadian Legion. He became a furrier, highly skilled at fabricating a fur garment when they still were in fashion and socially acceptable.
